Position: Dental Hygienist With Northwestern Health Unit Sioux Lookout
Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Become a vital part of community health as a Dental Hygienist with Northwestern Health Unit. This role involves promoting oral health, conducting screenings, and providing extensive preventive care. As a member of the Child Health‑Dental team, you will collaborate with community partners, including First Nations and public health agencies.
This contract position runs from December 15, 2025, to June 4, 2027, requiring adaptability and robust communication skills.

Key Responsibilities   Promote oral health and disease prevention in community settings
Conduct dental screenings and assessments for various age groups
Administer fluoride, sealants, and scaling for preventive care
Collaborate with health agencies for community outreach
Work independently and flexibly, including travel and irregular hours
Requirements   Diploma or degree in dental hygiene from a recognized program
Current registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
Experience in community health or clinic settings
Solid oral and written communication skills
Proven computer skills for clinical applications
