Enhance community health as a Dental Hygienist with Northwestern Health Unit.
Your role will focus on oral health promotion, screenings, and preventive care while collaborating with community partners.
This contract position is essential for community health and runs from December 15, 2025, to June 4, 2027. In this role, you will engage with First Nations and public health agencies to promote oral health. Strong communication skills and adaptability are key as you will provide care in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote oral health and disease prevention initiatives
• Conduct screenings for different age demographics
• Administer fluoride treatments and sealants
• Collaborate on community outreach programs
• Work flexibly with travel to various locations
Requirements:
• Dental hygiene diploma or degree from accredited program
• Current registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
• Experience in community health or clinical settings
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills for clinical applications
