Director of Road Maintenance Services

Required skills and abilities

• Hold a university degree in an appropriate field of specialization (engineering, administration or other); a graduate degree will be considered an asset.
• Have good knowledge of the following software:
  Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Have ten (10) years of relevant experience in the field, including two (2) years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of the Baie-James territory would be an asset.

• Permanent full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, 40 hours per week.

• Plan and ensure the strategic and financial management of the department.
• Lead maintenance and rehabilitation operations for infrastructure.
• Manage human, contractual and administrative resources.
• Ensure compliance, risk management and occupational health and safety.
• Represent the department and maintain relations with partners and authorities.

The Société de développement de la Baie-James (SDBJ) is a Quebec Crown corporation fully dedicated to the economic development of the Baie-James territory. Its mission is to promote, from a sustainable development perspective, economic development, the development and exploitation of natural resources — other than hydroelectric resources under Hydro-Québec's mandate — in the Baie-James territory. It may notably initiate, support and participate in projects aimed at these goals.
