As a Family Physician at Cowichan Maternity Clinic, you will provide obstetrical care to a diverse community, including a significant Indigenous patient population. You'll work closely with well-trained colleagues to ensure comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum support.

Your role will include mentoring medical trainees and playing a vital part in the evolution of community health as delivery numbers rise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide maternity care across all pregnancy stages

• Conduct postpartum midwife home visits

• Collaborate with specialized healthcare providers

• Train and supervise medical students in practice

• Participate in shared on-call duties

Requirements:

• Eligibility for BC physician licensure required

• NRP certification mandatory

• Required Fetal Health Surveillance certification

• ALARM course or equivalent is encouraged

• Interest in community health, particularly Indigenous care, is a plus
