Responsibilities
Provide surgical assist services to the orthopedic surgery group.
Work full‑time (Monday‑Friday 07:30‑15:30) or part‑time as desired.
Participate in the On‑Call Surgical Assistant roster to assist with emergency surgery during evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) licence.
Full Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) – mandatory.
Surgical experience – desired.
Benefits
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:
Retention Premium 4.20%
Retention Flat Fee $6,509
Relocation Funding Available up to $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
Recruitment Incentive $10,000
