The Vancouver Island Health Authority is looking for a fellowship trained Ophthalmologist to enhance its Division of Ophthalmology. This position requires Royal College certification and a completed residency, along with at least one year of specialized glaucoma surgery training. The successful candidate will utilize resources like a fluorescein angiography unit and designated surgical rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specialized surgeries for glaucoma patients

• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and treatment tools

• Participate in on-call duties (1 in 12)

• Conduct consultations and manage ongoing patient care

• Collaborate with a skilled healthcare team in clinical settings

Requirements:

• Hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

• Successfully completed an ophthalmology residency in Canada

• Minimum one year of relevant fellowship experience

• Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.

• Training to be finalized by July 2026
