Ophthalmologist - Glaucoma Specialist (100-2606)

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Department of Surgical Services is seeking a glaucoma fellowship trained Ophthalmologist to join the Division of Ophthalmology in Victoria, British Columbia.
Eligibility
Hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Ophthalmology.
Have completed ophthalmology residency (in Canada preferred).
Have a minimum of one year of glaucoma surgery post graduate fellowship at a recognized program.
Training completed by July 2026 in a recognized fellowship program, or as negotiated with division head.
Be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
Through the Eye Clinic at Royal Jubilee Hospital the successful candidate will have access to a fluorescein angiography unit, ophthalmic ultrasound, diode and YAG/SLT lasers, and a fully equipped treatment room for minor surgical procedures. The successful candidate will also have dedicated surgical time in clinic 6 for glaucoma, cataract, and other eye surgery.
Full participation on the on call schedule (1 in 12) is an expectation of this position.
