Location: Landseer
Overview
Two Rivers Medical Centre is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy practice, covering 4 to 6 sessions a week. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support and care for a diverse patient group. The role includes all general duties and responsibilities of a GP within primary care.
Responsibilities
Undertake a variety of duties, including accu
Rx triaging, face‑to‑face and telephone consultations, home visits, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions, and carrying out duty doctor responsibilities.
Manage queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Develop care plans for health consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease‑management protocols.
Provide health education.
Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
Collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
Deliver enhanced services.
Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
Perform all general duties and responsibilities of a GP in primary care.
Qualifications and Skills
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
Be on the NHS England medical performers list.
Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, primary prevention and screening services.
Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and ensure all mandatory training is in date.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
Commitment to life‑long learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
