Family Physician - Avalon Health Clinic Family Practice

Join Avalon Health Clinic as a founding Family Physician and help build a modern, community-based outpatient primary care medical home in Saanich, Greater Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This role is designed for longitudinal primary care within a team-supported clinic; does not include hospital privileges and inpatient coverage, emergency department shifts, and hospital call are not required. Avalon is being built as a multidisciplinary clinic where family physicians, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation clinicians, allied health professionals, and administrative team members work together in one coordinated system.

Designed from the ground up with physicians in mind, Avalon combines a fully integrated electronic medical record, centralized billing, dedicated MOA and administrative support, panel coordination, flexible scheduling, thoughtfully designed clinical space, and coordinated clinical pathways to reduce administrative burden and support sustainable, high-quality patient care.

Family Physicians will lead attached longitudinal panels and support patients across the lifespan with acute concerns, chronic disease, preventive care, mental health, complex care planning, and continuity relationships with patients and families. You will practice alongside nurse practitioners, MOAs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, counsellors, pelvic floor physiotherapists, rehabilitation clinicians, and other providers within one connected care experience. This team-based model supports shared care planning, in-house referrals, interdisciplinary case discussions, one chart and care plan, and measurable quality improvement while preserving physician autonomy and flexibility.

Avalon will be located in Saanich, an established and highly livable community within Greater Victoria on southern Vancouver Island. Saanich offers the balance many physicians and families look for: access to the amenities of the British Columbia capital region, proximity to downtown Victoria, universities, restaurants, arts and culture, and easy connections to parks, trails, beaches, cycling routes, oceanfront, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Overhead: 15% to 27.5% (based on billings and level of clinical support required)
