Family Physician

Job Description

Leader has an excellent opportunity for a motivated family physician interested in building a successful medical practice while working closely with other health care professionals in Southwest Saskatchewan. This is a contracted position where the physicians will join another physician and a Nurse Practitioner, as part of a central primary care team to deliver health services to the communities and a visiting clinic in nearby Cabri.

Call responsibilities are 1:3 and emergency on-call services are remunerated as per ERCP (Emergency Room Compensation Program) rates set by the Medical Services Branch, Saskatchewan Health. Leader has a community hospital with a Category B emergency coverage designation, a 35 bed LTC facility and a range of mental and community health services in our newly opened fully integrated facility.

Job Qualifications

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.

The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the . Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification.
