Location: Comox
Join the Division of Geriatrics at Vancouver Island Health Authority in Comox as a part time Geriatrician. This position focuses on providing exceptional clinical support to the elderly population.
The role requires FRCPC or Care of the Elderly qualifications, and you will collaborate with a team of 15 experienced professionals. Deliver both outpatient and inpatient consultations, while rotating through specialized geriatric services. This position also involves teaching opportunities affiliated with the University of British Columbia, fostering the development of future healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outpatient consultations for elderly patients
• Provide inpatient clinical evaluations and support
• Work within a multidisciplinary healthcare framework
• Rotate through various specialized services
• Support teaching of medical trainees
Requirements:
• Must hold FRCPC or Care of the Elderly qualifications
• Relevant experience in geriatrics required
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Must be available to start promptly
