Position: FP Anesthetist for Rural Medicine Team

Northern Health is hiring a Family Practitioner Anesthetist to provide Anaesthesia at Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton, BC.

This role offers the chance to integrate Anesthesia with Primary Care and Emergency services.

As a key player in Hazelton’s healthcare team, you will provide essential Anesthesia services for visiting specialists. Collaborate with Family Physicians and experience ongoing learning through clinical teaching. Engage with diverse communities through outreach clinics that embody the spirit of inclusive care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer Anesthesia services to visiting surgical teams

• Integrate with Primary Care and Emergency departments

• Mentor medical students during clinical rotations

• Conduct outreach clinics in collaborative health settings

• Work in a friendly, culturally safe environment

Requirements:

• Specialty training in Family Practice Anesthesia

• Passion for community and rural health

• Strong teamwork and mentoring capabilities

• Willingness to participate in continuous learning

• Experience in diverse clinical settings
