Glenmary School is seeking a temporary Full-time educational assistant from February 17, 2026, up to and including June 26, 2026.
Job Description:
Educational Assistants are employed by the Division to support teachers in meeting the needs of students in their classrooms. An Education Assistant may be assigned to work with individual students or groups of students under the direct supervision of a teacher.
Duties will include:
- Work with students who have learning, physical, and/or behavioural challenges, as well as one‑to‑one, small group, and classroom duties.
- Duties will include working with a student who requires attending to health needs and personal care.
- Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist student with feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Assist student to move about during the school day including lifting and positioning students, exercising and supporting as outlined in the Individualized Program Plan (IPP) or physiotherapy/occupational therapy plan, embarking and disembarking from transporting vehicles, and accompanying students to community‑based educational programs when necessary
- The assignment includes working with students in the classroom, supporting student academics and individualized learning needs, tutorial help, support for English Language Learners, and other Educational Assistant duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Teacher Assistant Diploma or related education equivalent preferred.
- Able to perform duties with professionalism and confidentiality.
- The successful candidate requires good communication, the ability to follow plans, ability to support students who require individualized programs, enrichment, modifications, and/or accommodations to their learning.
- The ideal candidate will have proficiency in the use of technology.
- A Criminal Record Check and Intervention check are required.

Wage - Dependent on Qualifications and Experience per hour $18.37‑$28.66.
