Support student math achievement as a School Based Math Facilitator in Smiths Falls. Engage with educators in priority schools for Grades 3, 6, and 9 students.

OECTA offers a term position for a Math Facilitator working under the Board Math Lead and school Principal.

Your role will focus on supporting students who need extra assistance while fostering capacity-building among teachers. You will implement early intervention strategies and effective instructional approaches targeting successful learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support in math for priority grades

• Collaborate with teachers in improving instructional methods

• Assist with monitoring student learning progress

• Conduct workshops and training for educational staff

• Implement intervention strategies aligned with the curriculum

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate

• Intermediate Math qualifications for teaching

• In-depth knowledge of Ontario math curriculum

• Experience in supporting students with special needs

• Possess driver’s license and travel capability
