Position: Brandon University Contract Chemistry Instructors
Location: Riding Mountain (Neepawa)

Empower future chemists at Brandon University by teaching laboratory courses during the  academic year. Deliver engaging, hands-on experiences to students and support their learning journey.

The Department of Chemistry is hiring Contract Academic Staff to lead laboratory sessions in several key courses. Candidates with a Master’s degree or relevant Bachelor’s in Chemistry are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include laboratory preparation and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while marking assessments and guiding student experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct organic and biochemical laboratory classes in-person

• Prepare all required materials and oversee laboratory safety

• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback

• Collaborate with faculty on course assessments and lab planning

• Maintain organized and effective teaching strategies

Requirements:

• BSc in Chemistry required;
Master’s preferred

• Teaching experience in a laboratory environment beneficial

• Proven organizational and communication skills

• Evidence of effective teaching strategies in prior roles

• Willingness to teach courses in both fall and winter
