Camp Bethany Manager

The scope of this position is twofold:

The Camp Bethany Manager will provide assistance to our Family Life staff and use their gifts to lead the staff and volunteers of Camp Bethany and to work with the families of our campers to ensure a positive experience for all.

Bethany Community Church will provide training and ongoing coaching in family ministry to the managers and encourage them to develop their gifts and passion as they relate to lifelong service in the Kingdom of God.

Demonstrates a commitment to growing in Christ.

Agreement with the statements of faith, vision and values of Bethany Community Church.

Compassion for children and teens and a strong desire to serve them.

Experience in serving children and students.

A current vulnerable sector police background check.

The Day Camp Manager will be directly accountable to the Pastor of Family Life.

Working in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Pastor of Family Life, this position is for 40 hours per week and will include:

Take the lead in the planning, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of Camp Bethany summer day camp

Ensure all Public Health guidelines and best practices are adhered to

Coach a team of volunteers

Provide direct care for students and children

Process and track Camp Bethany registration and attendance for follow-up care

Participate in weekly coaching huddle

Prepare progress reports

40 hours per week, duration of 13 weeks*. Paid hourly wage.
