Maths Teacher / Maths ECT

In the heart of Redbridge, an "Outstanding" secondary school is searching for a Maths Teacher / Maths ECT to start in September 2026. This is a permanent, full‑time position.

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious teacher who is eager to add value to an expanding secondary department. The school is renowned for its supportive Senior Leadership Team and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

Responsibilities

Teach and support students in Mathematics, inspiring and motivating them.

Work alongside a team of secondary teachers.

Develop and deliver engaging, high quality lessons.

Support pupil progress and achievement.

Take on teaching leadership responsibilities such as KS3 Coordinator and pastoral duties.

Participate in school improvement initiatives, staff training and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of gaining it.

Strong academic background with a degree, A‑Levels and GCSEs in Mathematics.

Ability to meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a good or outstanding level.

Experience of working as part of a large secondary teaching team.

Willingness to engage with feedback and continuous improvement.

For newly qualified teachers: access to 1:1 mentoring, bespoke induction, and in‑house training.
