Okanagan Waldorf School is seeking a dedicated part-time instructor for K-8 handwork and visual arts. This role emphasizes personal growth, respect, and inquiry within a diverse community. Ideal candidates will have experience with knitting, crocheting, or sewing and a BC Teaching Certificate or Waldorf Certificate, bringing their love of teaching to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach watercolour painting, knitting, crocheting, and sewing

• Attend faculty meetings and collaboratively plan festivals

• Prepare written reports for student progress

• Facilitate lessons that foster inquiry and respect

• Build strong relationships with parents and faculty

Requirements:

• Experience in handwork and visual arts education

• Certification or ability to obtain BC Teachers certification

• Clear Criminal Record for safety

• Willingness to work in outdoor rural settings

• Passion for teaching children creatively
