Lead educational excellence as the Head Teacher at Prophet River Dene Tsaa School, focusing on instruction aligned with British Columbia's curriculum. Collaborate with the community and create a supportive learning environment.

As a member of the school’s instructional team, the Head Teacher is vital in delivering effective educational programs. You will engage with students, adapt teaching methods, and monitor progress to ensure success. This role requires fostering connections with families and embodying the cultural values of Prophet River First Nation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach using BC’s Ministry of Education curriculum

• Provide classroom supervision and individualized instruction

• Communicate regularly with families about student progress

• Plan and execute educational activities and events

• Maintain a tidy and safe classroom environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education Degree

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Experience with Indigenous communities preferred

• Criminal Record Check for vulnerable sectors

• Willingness to complete CPR and First Aid training
