Position: Outdoor Education Teacher for Grades 8-12

Empower students at Kyah Wiget Education Society as a full-time Teacher for Grades 8-12, specializing in Science, Math, and Outdoor Education. Embrace hands-on, culturally relevant teaching methods.

This opportunity is based at Skyzeh Habi Yikh for the term running from August 2026 to June 2027. As an adaptable teacher, you will provide engaging, student-centered instruction and develop programs that connect with the local community and its values.

Your role will emphasize inquiry-based learning and promote student safety both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement multi-grade, hands-on instruction in Science and Mathematics

• Develop outdoor and experiential educational programs

• Ensure student safety in all learning environments

• Foster positive relationships with students and families

• Contribute to school programming and collaborative efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Knowledge of BC graduation requirements

• Experience with diverse learning strategies

• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

• Physical ability for outdoor programming
