Facilitate fun and engaging coding sessions with the Nation Public Library this summer at the Limoges branch. Ideal for tech enthusiasts and high school students seeking community service hours.
The Nation Public Library seeks enthusiastic volunteers for the Code Club unteers will assist library staff by supporting children and youth in coding activities while fostering a creative and inviting environment. This is a prime opportunity to gain experience and inspire young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist participants during coding sessions and projects
• Support library staff in Code Club sessions
• Encourage creativity and problem-solving in participants
• Prepare activity materials and set up work spaces
• Engage positively with children and youth attendees
Requirements:
• Must be 16 years or older
• Coding experience is an asset, but not mandatory
• Complete a valid police record check
• Volunteers get police check facilitated by the library
• Available Tuesdays in July and August for one-hour sessions
Contribute to the growth of young coders at the Limoges Branch Library this summer!
