Director of Youth Programs Newmarket

Location: Ontario Centre (Queensville)

Become a transformational leader with the Town of Newmarket as the Director of Youth Programs. In this role, you will supervise staff and ensure the safety of visitors at the Recreation Youth Centre and the telMAX Indoor Skate Park.

We are seeking a dedicated individual, enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the community through high-quality programming and events. As the Youth Centre Director, you will oversee staff scheduling, address inquiries, and handle administrative tasks to create a safe environment for young participants. Collaboration with the Recreation Programmer is key to successfully managing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Youth Centre Monitors and volunteers for optimal performance

• Ensure safety and well-being of visitors during all activities

• Organize and conduct special events as needed

• Complete administrative duties, including reports and maintenance forms

• Resolve participant inquiries and complaints professionally

Requirements:

• Experience supervising youth staff in programming

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required

• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and events

• Valid First Aid & CPR certification needed before start

• Police Vulnerable Sector Check mandatory
