Collaborative Inclusive Education Teacher

Location: Central Island (Chemainus)

This role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and families to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and maintain an inclusive learning environment. Candidates must have strong grounding in Universal Design for Learning and knowledge of Waldorf educational principles. Experience in managing diverse student needs is essential for this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design inclusive educational interventions and strategies

• Support small-group and individual learning sessions

• Monitor and assess student progress regularly

• Guide educational assistants in delivering effective support

• Engage parents through ongoing educational sessions

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent training

• BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility

• Background in inclusive education or special education

• Understanding of Waldorf principles and UDL

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
