High School Teacher - English-Math-French

Join to apply for the High School Teacher - English-Math-French role at Oxford Learning Centres Inc.

Position Requirements
  • All Teacher‑Tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm) and some Saturdays (11:00am - 3:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better.
  • Punctuality and reliability are a must.
  • Strong background in spoken and written French, Math, and English.
  • Comfortable teaching up to Grade 9 level;
    Grade 12 is preferred.
  • Instruction class sessions in French for French class.
  • In‑person role; must be able to commute to Oxford Learning Fletchers Meadow, Brampton.
  • Relocation packages are not available.
  • Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Teaching certification is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum.
Experience
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Responsibilities (Position Details)
  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
  • Teaching online and in‑person.
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Filling in post‑lesson notes.
  • Completing daily student communication updates.
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
