Position: Education Assistant 2 in Schools
Location: Nukko Lake

Support student learning as an Education Assistant 2 in Schools, helping individuals and small groups with academic and behavioral needs. Your impactful role includes monitoring students during unstructured times and assisting teachers throughout the day.

This part-time position reports to the Principal, requiring strong skills in education assistance, behavior management, and effective communication. You will assist students with daily activities, facilitate academic drill practices, and enhance life skills for independence. Your observations and feedback will be essential for student growth and well-being within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist during recess, lunch hour, and transitions

• Monitor and support student behavior to promote positive interactions

• Accompany students on community access activities

• Administer medication and maintain health procedures

• Prepare instructional materials for classroom use

Requirements:

• High school diploma with six relevant college courses

• One year of experience with exceptional youth

• Ability to manage behavior and communicate effectively

• Capable of working with specialized equipment

• Maintain student confidentiality and safety
