About the Role
We are seeking teachers to be part of our team. The ideal candidate places students at the center of their practice, creates inclusive classrooms where all abilities are valued, supported, and challenged, and collaborates, reflects and continually learns to improve their craft.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Hold or be qualified for a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate

Successful K‑12 teacher training with practicum or evaluation documentation

Legally eligible to work in Canada

Desired Qualifications and Experience

Experience adapting and modifying curriculum to meet student needs

Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans for diverse students

Strong classroom management skills

Experience with students who display a variety of behaviours

Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Willingness to work and implement school initiatives and goals

Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Committed to individualized and group instruction utilizing effective strategies and techniques

Experience teaching in a multiage group setting

Engages in fair, student‑focused assessment practices consistent with the BC curriculum and reporting order, and reflects on evidence of learning to guide instruction

Benefits

Relocation Allowance:
Up to $5,000 for out‑of‑district applicants (with approved receipts)

Northern Travel Allowance:
Up to $4,000 of salary designated as a Northern Allowance Travel benefit under CRA guidelines; part‑time prorated

Remote and Rural Allowance:
Annual allowance of approximately $3,035 per FTE; teachers on call not eligible

Allowance may increase under the Collective Agreement with the British Columbia Teachers Federation
