Social Studies and Religion Teacher Position

Location: Mayo

Join St. Isaac Jogues Catholic School in Hinsdale, IL, as a full-time teacher for Grades 4-5 in Social Studies and Religion, beginning in August 2025. Help shape students’ academic and spiritual growth in a nurturing environment.

This role focuses on delivering quality education in Social Studies and Religion while adhering to the ideals of the Catholic Church. Responsibilities also include lesson planning, adapting to student needs, and contributing to faculty discussions and training opportunities. Teachers will play an essential part in upholding the school's mission and engaging with families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned subjects and guide student learning

• Prepare and manage educational materials

• Attend professional development and faculty meetings

• Ensure disciplined and supportive classroom dynamics

• Build partnerships with parents to facilitate student growth

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related area

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

• Effective communication and teaching skills

• Previous intermediate grade teaching experience preferred

• Practicing Catholic status preferred for Religion courses
