Position: Stoney Education Authority Music Teacher Role
Location: Kananaskis Country (Claresholm)

Join the Stoney Education Authority as a Music Teacher and nurture young musicians' talents through innovative teaching and cultural integration. This role is designed for educators passionate about music and community.

As a key member of the SEA team, you'll facilitate music education rooted in Stoney Nakoda traditions while adhering to the Alberta Curriculum. You'll lead students in discovering their musical identities and build their confidence through various performance and composition skills. This position emphasizes creating connections between school and community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in music literacy, theory, and performance

• Conduct vocal and instrumental classes across grade levels

• Plan cultural performances, concerts, and school assemblies

• Integrate music technology into lessons for enhanced learning

• Partner with Elders and families to enrich experiences

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field

• Possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certification or eligibility

• Demonstrated passion for cultural integration in music

• Excellent collaborative and communication skills

• Required Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
