Support student learning and development as a Part-Time Education Assistant 2 in a school setting. Assist with academic tasks, monitor behavior, and engage with students during activities.

This role, reporting to the Principal, involves aiding students with specific educational plans and promoting independence in life skills. You will work with small groups and offer assistance during unstructured times like lunch and recess. The position requires a compassionate approach and a proactive attitude towards student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with individualized learning activities

• Monitor behavior during recess and lunch

• Prepare instructional materials for classroom use

• Record observations of student progress

• Administer medication under supervision

Requirements:

• Grade twelve education minimum

• Six college courses related to behavior and learning

• One year experience with exceptional needs youth

• Strong communication skills in instruction language

• Ability to operate specialized student equipment
