Join Newtown Elementary School as a Guidance Teacher and Instructional Resource expert, focusing on holistic student support. Full-time term role emphasizing critical incident response and inclusive practices.

Beginning September 8, 2026, until June 25, 2027, this position requires a dynamic educator committed to developing a comprehensive guidance program. You will collaborate with staff and students to foster a caring and inclusive environment while guiding critical assessments and interventions. Your leadership will significantly impact students' emotional and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive guidance program

• Lead school staff in student support strategies

• Facilitate response planning for critical incidents

• Work with assessments that meet diverse student needs

• Strengthen educational programs and student outcomes

Requirements:

• BA in Education and NL Level IV Teaching Certificate

• Master’s in counseling psychology with assessment training

• Proven counseling experience, both group and individual

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Adherence to ethical guidelines in student support
