Location: Northwest Newfoundland/Eastern Labrador (Mary's Harbour)

Drive student success and emotional health as a Shared School Counsellor at White Hills Academy in St. Anthony. Emphasizing counseling and guidance, you will foster a holistic approach to student development.

This full-time position, shared among White Hills Academy, Truman Eddison Memorial, and James Cook Memorial, starts on September 2, 2025, and ends February 13, 2026, or upon the return of the current Counsellor. You will be expected to provide leadership, implement assessments, and participate in response planning for emergencies.

Your role will enhance educational outcomes through strategic program support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage comprehensive guidance programs

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions

• Conduct assessments in line with educational guidelines

• Collaborate with staff to enhance student support systems

• Address critical incidents effectively

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Master’s in Counseling Psychology

• Proficient in comprehensive assessment methods

• Strong knowledge of child development principles

• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities

• Ongoing professional learning commitment
