Position: Educational Assistant for Diverse Learners

Join Foothills School Division as an Educational Assistant helping students with varied needs. This part-time role emphasizes support for emotional, behavioral, and learning experiences.

In this position, you will work alongside teachers and learning coaches in a flexible environment. Your focus will be on students who require assistance due to conditions such as Down Syndrome, ADHD, and other intellectual delays. Providing individualized support will empower students to achieve independence and success in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students physically and emotionally in school settings

• Collaborate with educational support specialists

• Tailor assistance to each student’s unique needs

• Encourage independence and social skills development

• Build positive connections with parents and the community

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma preferred

• Experience supporting students with complex needs

• Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities

• Capacity to work independently

• Must complete a Criminal Record Check
