Support learning as a Behaviour Support Educational Assistant in Whitehorse. This role focuses on mentoring and coaching educational assistants, enhancing student outcomes with diverse needs.

The Department of Education–Student Support Services seeks a dedicated Educational Assistant for the  school year. Collaborate with teachers and families to implement effective learning plans and support students' unique challenges. You will coach and train educational assistants on low- and high-tech communication tools, gaining valuable experience in educational support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and model effective practices for educational assistants

• Support the implementation of learning plans across schools

• Train staff on communication tools like Proloquo2

• Work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents

• Enhance student engagement through tailored support

Requirements:

• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years as an educational assistant

• Experience with youth in diverse contexts

• Certification or coursework in behaviour analysis is an asset

• Flexible to undertake various assignments
