Special Education Resource Teacher Position

Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Elevate educational experiences for students with special needs as a Special Education Resource Teacher. Your expertise will focus on developing and delivering tailored services to enhance learning outcomes.

This role requires an OCT-qualified teacher with a degree in Special Education. You will have experience in assessing learning disorders and managing classroom behaviors effectively. Familiarity with current practices and regulations in special education is essential, along with a solid grasp of educational technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop individualized educational programs

• Deliver tailored instruction for students with special needs

• Evaluate and assess student progress and learning needs

• Manage classroom behaviors effectively and efficiently

• Collaborate with other educational professionals for student success

Requirements:

• OCT qualification and Special Education degree required

• Proven experience in school special education programs

• Knowledge of assessment and intervention methodologies

• Strong classroom management and technology skills

• Ability to travel to remote First Nations communities
