Position: Educational Assistant for Diverse Learning Needs

Become an Educational Assistant at Ogema School, Ogema, SK, providing essential support for students with diverse learning requirements starting September 2, 2026. Focus on individualized programs and behavior plans.

In this permanent position, you will address the needs of students with high behavioral challenges and support their transition into collaborative learning. Tasks include lifting, supervising, and assisting with personal care, alongside preparing life skills programming as outlined by educators.

Your role is crucial in fostering an inclusive educational environment and ensuring student safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct lifting tasks; up to 60 pounds independently

• Transport students using your vehicle when required

• Address personal hygiene and medical needs of students

• Develop and implement personalized academic programming

• Oversee intensive need students in various settings

Requirements:

• Hold a Grade 12 diploma from a recognized institution

• Proven flexibility and collaboration abilities

• Valid driver’s license essential

• Familiarity with educational software and tools

• Strong commitment to public education principles

Provide critical support in developing students’ skills as part of the Ogema School team.
