Position: Chesterfield Inlet Adult Educator Role
Location: Inner Nunavut (Rankin Inlet)

Become an Adult Educator in Chesterfield Inlet and Naujaat with Nunavut Arctic College. This role focuses on evaluating and delivering educational programming for the local adult community.

In this position, you will report to the Coordinator of Community Programs and be responsible for facilitating a variety of adult education subjects including literacy and essential skills. You will also play a key role in managing the Community Learning Centre while providing supervision and support to staff and learners. Strong counseling experience and cultural sensitivity will enhance your ability to connect with the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach adult basic education programs

• Manage and support adult learning initiatives

• Oversee learning environment and facility maintenance

• Conduct needs assessments for training

• Provide educational and career counseling

Requirements:

• High school diploma and adult education certification

• At least one year of teaching experience

• Knowledge of Inuit culture and languages

• Experience in career counseling and supervision

• Ability to work effectively in a diverse cultural setting
