Join Morris Academy as a Teaching and Learning Assistant in Mount Pearl. This full-time position begins on September 2, 2025, enhancing student learning in a supportive environment.

In this role, you will work with the Service Delivery Team to implement instructional supports while focusing on social-emotional development, assessment, and maintaining effective student relationships. Your understanding of child and youth development will guide you in assisting students through various academic and social challenges, ensuring their success and independence in learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement programs and services for student success

• Support students in developing executive functioning skills

• Observe student behavior and progress as directed

• Utilize de-escalation strategies effectively

• Facilitate student engagement in classroom activities

Requirements:

• Teacher’s Certificate Level Two from the Department of Education

• Experience in ECE or Child & Youth Care suitable for certification

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Capacity to assist with specialized assistive technologies

• Eagerness for professional development and skill enhancement
