Temporary Grade 3 Teacher at St. John XXIII

Location: Fort Qu'Appelle

Elk Island Catholic Schools is looking for a Grade 3 Teacher for a 0.5 FTE temporary position n XXIII Catholic School in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Engage students in Math, Science, and Gym education.

This part-time teaching position begins on August 26, 2026, and concludes on June 29, 2027. You will guide Grade 3 classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and half-day Wednesdays. Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Education and an Alberta teaching certificate or be eligible, along with being a practicing Catholic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in Math, Science, and Gym classes

• Develop curriculum and lesson plans for Grade 3

• Monitor and assess student understanding and progress

• Create an inviting and supportive classroom atmosphere

• Collaborate with faculty and communicate with parents regularly

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education degree required

• Alberta teaching certificate or eligibility necessary

• Practicing Catholicism is mandatory

• Experience in teaching preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills required
