Learning Support Teacher at St. Francis School

Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Enhance learning experiences this summer as a Learning Support Teacher ncis School. Collaborate with the SCDSB Board ABA team to foster student growth and independence.

This role is effective from July 2 to July 24, 2026, focusing on supporting student communication and emotional regulation. The Learning Support Teacher will prepare materials, manage assignments, and maintain parent contact. You will play a key role in creating a fun, camp-like atmosphere for students while guiding their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare class materials and assignments effectively

• Support sensory and emotional regulation for students

• Foster independence and functional communication

• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress

• Collaborate with the SCDSB Board ABA team

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education;
Ontario College of Teachers member

• Pr/Jr basic qualifications and Special Education Part 1

• Strong knowledge of teaching methods and child development

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
