Position: Full-Time PASS Teacher in Sheshatshiu
Location: Central Labrador (Happy Valley-Goose Bay)

Mamu Tshishkutamashutau is hiring a full-time PASS Teacher in Sheshatshiu, NL, dedicated to fostering student success through culturally responsive practices and support.

In the role of PASS Teacher, you will support students in overcoming barriers to learning by promoting engagement and attendance through individualized academic and socio-emotional support. Your collaboration with school staff, families, and community partners will be instrumental in creating effective intervention plans that prioritize the needs and values of the Innu community. This position is critical for strengthening relationships and developing a safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support student attendance through proactive initiatives

• Deliver individualized academic and emotional support

• Coordinate with staff and families for focused interventions

• Encourage community engagement reflecting Innu culture

• Promote student behavior and emotional regulation

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education from an accredited institution

• Valid Newfoundland and Labrador Teaching Certificate

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada

• Recent Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

• Experience in northern or Indigenous communities preferred
