Location: Victoria

Empower young women garet’s School in Victoria, British Columbia, as a School Counsellor for Grades 7-12. This role focuses on social-emotional support and collaborative classroom instruction.

As a School Counsellor garet’s School, you will provide social-emotional support while promoting student well-being within an IB curriculum. Collaborate with faculty, the Enrichment Coordinator, and support staff to encourage the personal, social, and academic growth of students. Your responsibilities also include creating school-wide wellness initiatives and assisting students in navigating their academic pressures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a school-based team to meet student needs

• Initiate school-wide mental-health initiatives

• Conduct initial interventions for at-risk students

• Integrate guidance into classroom curricula

• Facilitate support groups tailored for young women

Requirements:

• BC Teacher certification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling (4 years)

• 3 years’ counselling experience in education

• Experience with children facing emotional challenges

• Prior experience in an IB World School is preferred
