Enhance communication skills as an English as a Second Language Instructor with Simcoe County District School Board. This temporary role offers flexible daytime hours and varies by location to meet student needs.

SCDSB is seeking an English as a Second Language Instructor for semesters one and two during weekday mornings and afternoons. Candidates must hold a TESL Ontario Certificate, possess computer proficiency, and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. The role focuses on addressing diverse student learning styles and requires an adaptable teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans incorporating Canadian Language Benchmarks

• Provide individualized instruction in a continuous intake setting

• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly

• Utilize technology effectively for instruction and assessments

• Collaborate with colleagues while working independently

Requirements:

• TESL Ontario Certificate required

• Strong understanding of Canadian Language Benchmark framework

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Flexibility in adapting to various teaching scenarios

• Preferred experience in Adult ESL education
