Long Term Occasional Assignment
The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is seeking a Long Term Occasional teacher for coverage during a teacher’s leave at the identified school.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.

Successful completion of the Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.

Salary
Effective September 1, 2025, teacher salaries will range from $51,234 to $119,943.

Process For Selection

The board identifies the three most senior eligible applicants.

Applicants must not already hold another LTO position during the term.

Selected applicants are contacted to confirm interest; if declined, the next eligible candidates are approached, ensuring five applicants are considered.

If fewer than three qualified teachers apply, the board selects from the qualified applicants.

If no qualified teachers apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher not on the roster.

External candidates must pass the OT interview process.

Successful candidates not currently employed by OCSB must submit a negative PRC for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months.
