Position: Intermediate & Secondary English Teacher Role
Location: Central Newfoundland (Bishops Falls)

Join Fitzgerald Academy as a full-time Intermediate and Secondary English Language Arts Teacher. This role emphasizes creating a caring, inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Commencing on September 29, 2025, and concluding on June 26, 2026, the teacher will focus on applying the School Development Model's 7 Determinants to enhance learning experiences. Collaborating with colleagues, families, and communities is vital to shaping a positive educational space for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language Arts to students in intermediate and secondary grades

• Cultivate a nurturing and accessible learning environment

• Implement responsive and effective teaching strategies

• Evaluate student progress through consistent assessment

• Work alongside families to support student achievement

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education in Secondary or equivalent qualification

• Understanding of contemporary English teaching methods

• Experience with assessment and instructional practices

• Ability to develop dynamic lesson plans

• Commitment to building student interest in learning
