Location: Peace River
Part‑Time Educational Assistant (0.90 f.t.e.)
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for this role. The successful candidates will work with a variety of students in grades 9 and 10. They will provide 1‑on‑1 support to students with complex needs, assist in small group sessions, and support larger class instruction.
Qualifications
Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
Experience and/or training working with students in a school setting.
Ability to work with children with varied ages, skill levels, needs and abilities.
Skills
Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs.
Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
Requirements
Provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (less than six months old).
Pay
$22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement).
