St. Vital Catholic School
St. Vital Catholic School is a lively collaborative learning community for Pre‑Kindergarten to grade 7, where everyone feels at home! This is a unique elementary school in that it is a Catholic School in a public school division. We are committed to inclusion and the needs of students are at the center of everything. We anticipate over 170 students and over 20 staff members next year.

This posting is for a Temporary Full‑Time Educational Assistant Position al Catholic School, commencing August 26, 2026, and has a contract end date of June 30, 2027. Hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. The successful applicant will support core subject areas in both small groups and in the classroom.
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Post‑secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
Right Person will

possess strong planning and organizational skills while showing initiative;
have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work independently;
be positive, enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment;
