This role supports student learning in the classroom environment and other educational settings, assisting teachers and school teams in meeting the diverse learning needs of students.

Assignment and Term:

This position is a permanent part‑time position of 3.25 hours/day in accordance with the pre‑kindergarten Educational Assistant school calendar.

The position commences August 27, 2026, with the work schedule to be determined by the principal and student services. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.

The Duties Of An Educational Assistant Are:

Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals.

Provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care.

Assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom, and the school.

Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in the

Job Description – Educational Assistant.

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Desired

Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.

Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to work as a team member – assets.

Preference will be given to applicants who possess an Early Childhood Certification; prior experience is an asset.

Salary and Benefits :

Paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate ranging from $21.00 to $25.79 plus applicable vacation pay.
