North Island College seeks a Biology Instructor for the BIO 160L – Human Anatomy & Physiology I lab in Fall 2026. Teach face-to-face classes, ensuring effective learning and communication.

The ideal candidate will create a positive learning atmosphere while effectively conveying course material. Responsibilities include planning, preparing instructional materials, evaluating students, and maintaining open lines of communication. Your expertise in interpersonal skills and continuous improvement will foster an enriching environment for students at the Comox Valley Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a supportive learning climate in the classroom

• Develop learning goals and objectives effectively

• Communicate evaluations and learning outcomes clearly

• Utilize varied teaching materials for diverse learning styles

• Participate in departmental committees and meetings

Requirements:

• M.Sc. in Biology or related field

• At least three years of relevant post-secondary teaching experience

• BC Instructor Diploma or Teaching Certificate highly desirable

• Proficiency in educational technologies

• Strong interpersonal communication skills
