Lead Early Childhood Educator E Antigonish

Location: St. Andrews

Drive impactful learning in the Pre-primary Program as a Lead Early Childhood Educator at E Antigonish Educ Centre. Collaborate with staff to create supportive environments for young children.

This term position runs from August 25, 2026 to June 30, 2027, and requires proven leadership in early childhood education. As the Lead ECE, you will work closely with the Principal to implement the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework. Your responsibilities will include fostering effective learning environments while considering the developmental needs of all children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a dynamic learning space for diverse children

• Collaborate with staff on routines and procedures

• Observe children's interests for personalized learning

• Communicate effectively with families about their child’s progress

• Support social-emotional learning and positive behaviour guidance

Requirements:

• Degree in early childhood education with 3 years' experience

• Experience in leadership roles within an early learning environment

• In-depth understanding of child development

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current first aid certification
