Educational and Early Childhood Assistant

Location: Eastern Alberta (St. Paul)

Northern Lights Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant and Early Childhood Assistant for Caslan School. This full-time position focuses on supporting student learning and development in a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

This role combines part-time Educational Assistant duties with Early Childhood Assistant responsibilities starting in the  school year. You will assist students with educational needs, including behavior management, social skills, and personal care. Candidates should have a genuine passion for working with children and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support student learning in social and behavioral areas

• Assist with personal care and self-help needs

• Collaborate in a team environment with educators

• Implement Individual Program Plans for students

• Employ alternative communication strategies as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 1 Child Development Worker certification

• Experience as an Educational Assistant or in childcare

• First Aid Certification required

• Familiarity with diverse learning strategies

• Desire to positively impact children's lives
